Mō te tūnga | About the role
The Advisor Feedback Intake position is critical for providing robust and best practice support to our regions and sites to ensure success of our services and care. You will continually monitor and improve how we manage feedback and demonstrate resolutions that are person-centric.
As a key member of our team you will be pivotal in ensuing that people who want to give Oranga Tamariki feedback feel their voice is being heard and the details are being handled in a timely, courteous and transparent manner.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same so you will be required to provide exceptional support in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
To thrive in this role, you will have strong attention to detail, able to talk to people who may be angry or upset in a kind and calm manner and be able to collaborate with internal customers and external stakeholders. You will be passionate about what you do and be a self-starter with a high standard of service delivery. Your aptitude to challenge the status quo along with your ability to remain calm under pressure will be the key to your success!

Key requirements of the role include:
  • Ability to gather information about complex situations via phone or email.
  • Ability to engage in a respectful, empathetic manner with a diverse range of people, while remaining calm and kind
  • An understanding of trauma and trauma-informed responses
  • Ability to analyse and summarise the key aspects of complaints, while ensuring the complainant's voice is at the forefront.
  • An understanding of the work Oranga Tamariki does, and how this contributes to improved outcomes for tamariki and whānau.
  • An ability to determine correct pathway for the complaint to be reviewed
  • An ability to identify risk and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural issues and concerns, in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture

Annual remuneration for this position starts between $66,371 and $73,301.00 dependant on experience.
