This role would include:Working with the Commercial forecasting Director to develop and execute the commercial forecasting capability
Work across all our geographies, Melbourne, Sydney, Singapore, NZ and Canberra to support the Partnership and their clients to delivery the commercial opportunities identifying in the commercial forecasting process
Own and deliver end to end projects with oversight from the Director
Specifically:
This is a key role on our growing commercial forecasting practice, supporting and shaping the delivery of the capability for Australian and global well known brands and business’. Cultural forecasting is a dynamic capability, as we grow so too does out need to find the best talent, part strategist, part futurist and part analyst. This role suits a culturally curious and knowledgeable professional – you have experience in delivering culturally relevant insights that and academic rigor to make a tangible impact on clients business through the lens of consumer trends. In this role you will work across initial project design, implementation and embedding outcomes into business
- Delivering the immediate pipeline of cultural forecasting /trend projects in the business
There are a number of standalone and integrated cultural forecasting projects where clients seek to understand and unlock the cultural tensions that exist within their category. These projects require us to decode culture to understand, decipher and define category trends and develop culturally appropriate recommendations for out Clients’ innovation, brand and comms strategies
- Develop the commercial forecasting offer, codify and scale
Traditionally cultural/ commercial forecasting has been a unique offering that has been articulated by defining relevant trends in a category, these trends then act as a lens to the future. We go further to decode the meanings and cultural tensions that lie behind the trends. All trends are rooted in human needs, these universal human truths are what business and brands can respond to. Our emphasis and focus is on the tangible strategies that evolve from the capability – what brands need to do to respond to the emerging socio cultural landscape. This role is critical in developing and delivering this evolution
- Socialise cultural forecasting offer internally and externally with Stakeholders
Our methodology is robust and evolving at pace. Critical to take clients on the journey with the latest thinking and observations. Socialize the offer to our internal Partnership teams
- Scale the gamete of activity from strategy to execution
The role requires flexibility – from strategic planning with the Cultural Forecasting Director and working closely with the Partnership teams to execution and activation
Working with our Artificial intelligence partner to develop and evolve the methodology and outputs
Researching, defining and articulating trends and their manifestations and the so what for client relative to the problem they are trying to solve for
Executing events, writing thought leadership pieces and contributing comment with the Director to the media where required
Pitching commercial forecasting credentials in new business
Writing and delivering proposals to client as well as executing strategic recommendations in client business
Mentoring and training others in the business to upskill in the capability
- Track and monitor activity and results
Monthly contribution to the board on success metrics

Qualifications and Experience
Industry experience:
Previous experience in cultural/commercial forecasting or consumer trends either in a professional services firm, research agency or marketing
Research or marketing agency experience of 5 + years
Ability to demonstrate understanding of culture the macro and micro shifts at a socio cultural level
Required education: Degree in psychology, marketing and or business
Management experience: Ability to deliver timely solutions and develop strong relationships internally and externally with senior clients; CMO, Head of insights and ELT level
Additional experience:
Ability to deliver timely solutions and develop strong relationships with different levels of staff, senior management across the organisation and external clients
Exceptional attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
Ability to carry out duties autonomously and work effectively in a team environment
