FOX Sports is looking for a Production Assistant, Highlights to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. The Sports Highlights department creates content for downstream clients/productions, editing packages across multiple core sports for an array of studio and remote programs and destinations (including FOX NFL Sunday, MLB & College Football Studio Shows, Deportès, Sports News Edge, etc.). The Production Assistant will assist in the production of live and taped shows with work including logging live sporting events and writing talent scripts correlating to their Highlights, but also demonstrate high initiative and skill expanding their skill-sets into other areas working with applicable edit/media systems. The Production Assistant will also contribute to the sports media ecosystem and have an integral role organizing, clipping, and tagging footage in both Quantel and Google libraries, logging and tagging Melts, Ground Reels, Week in Reviews, etc. to create a robust library of metadata in our MAM.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the production of live and taped shows with work including logging live sporting events, writing talent scripts correlating to Highlights, and working with applicable edit/media systems
  • Actively contribute to the sports media ecosystem and have an integral role organizing, clipping, and tagging footage in both Quantel and Google libraries, logging and tagging Melts, Ground Reels, Week in Reviews, etc.
  • Interface with the productions to determine daily highlight requirements
  • Work with Regional Coordinators to ensure highlights are fed to the regions in a timely manner

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • 1+ year experience working and/or interning in production, operations, or applicable comparable experience
  • Excellent overall sports knowledge
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of video editing, storage, networking, and transmissions
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work well under deadline pressure
