** The context **
This role is responsible for our CHEP owned service centre in Tiel with the key responsibilities to lead the plant, maintain Zero Harm & wellbeing principles, optimizing labour, material, equipment and sustainability resources to maximize product availability while providing a product quality and a service that meets or exceeds the internal and external customers’ expectations using the most cost-effective methods available.
** Your daily functions **
Plant Operations:
- Support building of a sustainable budget & its tracking
- Manage and lead the CHEP Service Centre Tiel by:
- Implementing and maintaining Health, Safety & Environmental and security in the SC,
- Direct manpower, materials & work activity to achieve plant output to planned levels
- Ensuring continuous improvement of the Service Centre performance in all key areas (health & safety, costs, quality, service, customer satisfaction, etc.),
- Supporting other CHEP operations and departments,
- Ensuring availability of required production capabilities and, that the production process is maintained to plant & quality criteria,
- Efficient vehicles servicing (customers and own transport) take place at the yard, securing lower turn-around-time and efficient forklift truck activity
- Project Management and result responsibility for all budgeted projects and additional initiatives within the relevant network,
- Responsibility to maintain and control the different ISO-norm management systems including adherence to required local and European legislation,
- Maintaining an accurate reporting of stock with a regular audit cycle,
- Control storage, stock rotation, stock levels and material handling,
- Maintain comprehensive administration data and procedures to achieve high levels of stock accuracy. Control out-storage requirements in area. Escalate stock control issues,
- Supporting high levels of customer service through complaint and assurance visits where necessary,
- Implementing and monitor GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice),
Leadership:
- Leading the workforce to deliver customer expectations through inspiring the team to drive towards the production-, quality- and SHE objectives by;
- Maintaining a good social climate in a unionized environment,
- Develop the workforce & her capabilities by rolling out an appropriate training,
- Driving the engagement and enablement agenda for all workers to deliver year on year Brambles Engagement Score increases - Pulse.
- Develop the management team (POLT) within site to create a high performing team (CHEP plant)
** Your profile **
- Management experience in a Plant Operations or Logistics environment.
- Experience in Project Management, business and systems analysis.
- Experienced Lean or Continuous Improvement champion.
- Demonstrated experience of cross functional and multi-level interaction and working in a matrix
organization
- Ideally experience of working within high volume / target driven manufacturing environment
Led & achieved results in pan-European, multi-single site, working with multi-lingual teams & blue-collar sites
- Strong experience of leading and managing Union relationships at a senior level
- Fluent level of Dutch and English
