This is your opportunity to join our Barista/Bar team, within the Qantas Lounges located at Melbourne Airport.
As a key member of our team you will represent our friendly and professional service philosophy of ‘Feel Valued’ and ‘Feel Welcome’.
We are seeking a highly motivated Part Time Bar/Barista to join our experienced and professional team.
Key duties of this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure all beverages are made to Lounge standards and training standards provided by relevant Beverage suppliers.
- Assist with the cleaning, polishing and storage or cutlery and crockery as required.
- Ensure all equipment associated with the Coffee Machine is kept, neat, tidy and orderly.
- Ensure any maintenance issues with the coffee machine are reported to ensure appropriate action can be taken to repair the machine.
- Deliver orders promptly to and from the kitchen production area for replenishment and delivery of food items.
- Stock work areas in the Lounge, including the transfer of Food and Beverage items to back and front of house work areas.
- Demonstrate versatility in responding to guest requests and situations.
- Ensure accuracy whilst ordering and delivering food and beverage orders.
- Clear and reset tables as well as ensuring service areas are clean and tidy.
- Promote a safe workplace by recognising hazards and promoting general OHS practices.
Whilst technical experience is of important to us, to be considered for the role you will have:
- A friendly, customer focused attitude with the strive to provide total customer satisfaction.
- Minimum 1 year experience.
- Initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers are positive and efficient.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certification.
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience is a must.
- Confidence in liaising with various internal and external clients.
- A high standard of grooming and presentation.
- The ability and flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings, late evenings and on weekends.
